    How to play

    Each day we hide one of the CTA's 143 open L stations. You start with its average weekday entries and rank; each wrong guess shows distance and direction and unlocks a clue: weekend share, accessibility, how far it is from State & Madison, its lines and the first letter of its name.

    Tap a line colour to filter, or just type. Stations with the same name on different lines (there are several Damens and Addisons) are separate answers.

    About the data

    Averages cover Jun 1, 2026–Aug 31, 2026, the latest three months the CTA has published. Stations closed for rebuilding in that period (such as State/Lake) are left out. See the L station leaderboard.
