How to play
Guess the community district from its street trees. You start with the species it has far more of than the rest of the city; each wrong guess shows distance and direction and unlocks a clue: its most common tree, how many it has, how healthy they are, and finally its borough.
About the data
The 2015 TreesCount! census was a volunteer-led count of every street tree in New York City. It is the most recent complete census published as open data, so the numbers describe 2015, not today. See the tree leaderboard.
